Informational use of this website
This website provides general information about Dr. Shira Fishman, her practice, telehealth services, ultrasound services, and pregnancy care. General website content is not a substitute for personal medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for an in-person examination when one is clinically necessary.
Medical emergencies
Do not use this website, the patient portal, or a telehealth visit for a medical emergency. If you believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency, call 101, contact emergency services, or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. Telehealth visits are scheduled in advance and are not monitored in real time outside of a scheduled session.
Scope and limitations of telehealth
Telehealth is appropriate for many, but not all, medical concerns. Dr. Fishman will use her clinical judgment during your visit to determine whether your condition can be safely addressed remotely or whether it requires an in-person examination, imaging, laboratory testing, or referral. If an in-person evaluation is needed, you will be advised and, where appropriate, offered an in-person appointment at one of our clinic locations. Telehealth cannot replace a physical examination, and some conditions may not be identifiable through video alone.
Appointments, availability, and fees
Booking a telehealth appointment requires a minimum lead time; a booking is not confirmed until you receive confirmation and a valid payment method has been successfully saved or authorized. Cancellations made 24 hours or more before your appointment incur no fee. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment incur the cancellation fee disclosed at the time of booking. A no-show means you do not join the scheduled video visit within 30 minutes after the scheduled start time while Dr. Fishman is available to conduct the visit; a no-show fee of ₪50 may be charged to your saved payment method. No cancellation or no-show fee will be charged where prohibited by law, where the practice cancels, where Dr. Fishman is unavailable, or where the visit cannot proceed because of a practice-side technical failure. The practice may cancel or reschedule an appointment at no charge to you and will notify you as soon as reasonably possible.
Video and payment platform reliability
Telehealth visits depend on third-party video and payment infrastructure (currently Zoom and our payment processor) that the practice does not own or control. While we select providers with strong reliability records, we cannot guarantee that these services will be available, uninterrupted, or free of technical error at every scheduled appointment time. If a visit cannot take place due to a technical failure of these platforms, you may choose either to reschedule at no additional charge or to receive a refund or voided charge for the visit that did not take place, subject to any non-waivable rights under Israeli law; the practice is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from such an interruption.
No guarantee of availability
Displayed appointment slots reflect availability at the time you view them and are not guaranteed until your booking is confirmed and paid. The practice does not guarantee that any specific appointment time, visit type, or provider will remain available, and reserves the right to modify visit types, pricing, and scheduling policies going forward.
Session recording
With your separate recording consent obtained at booking, telehealth visits are recorded (video, audio, and an automatically generated transcript) and retained as part of your medical record, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Minors
A patient under 18 years of age may only be booked and treated via telehealth with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who holds the account, receives all visit and portal communications, and is responsible for the accuracy of information provided and for supervising the minor during the telehealth visit. Telehealth is not available for care a minor patient is legally entitled to receive on a confidential basis (for example, certain reproductive or sexual health care); that care must be provided in person, where the practice can accommodate the patient's confidentiality rights directly.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Israeli law, the practice's liability for non-clinical issues arising from your use of this website, the booking system, or scheduling and payment platforms is limited to the fees you paid for the visit giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply to, and nothing in these terms limits, liability for clinical care, professional or medical negligence, bodily injury, breach of medical confidentiality, violation of privacy law, violation of non-waivable patient rights, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising from your use of this website or our telehealth services, are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Israel will have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
The practice may update these terms from time to time; the version in effect at the time of your visit governs that visit. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
