Dr. Shira Fishman's path to maternal-fetal medicine began at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by her medical degree from NYU School of Medicine and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at NYU/Bellevue Hospital Center. She completed her subspecialty fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, training in the management of high-risk pregnancy and complex fetal conditions at one of the country's leading academic centers.
She went on to spend over a decade as a maternal-fetal medicine specialist with Obstetrix Medical Group of Colorado, caring for high-risk pregnancies. She is board certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).
